In the last hundred years, the development of our society has changed rapidly due to the invention of computers. I strongly believe that this is the most important invention of the time, as society has benefited the well-being of both humans and the globe.
As human beings, computers have helped us to improve our productivity, fasten communication to ease global trade, and boost medical advancement. On the one hand, as productivity increases, working tasks will need less time to finish, so people can enjoy a work-life balance lifestyle. On the other hand, the distance between continents was shortened with the widespread use of communications tools and trading sites; nowadays, the basic needs of humans are just “a click” away. Moreover, the implementation of computers has taken place in the medical world; as a result, nanotechnology has been invented in a short time, and now we can cure so many diseases. At this point, it seems to be perfect, as three essential aspects of life have tremendously improved; however, did we only stop at that?
Fortunately, these improvements have been taken into account in the larger picture; hence, our “mother” earth would also be taken care of. In the past, before the “computer” era, the earth was massively destroyed as deforestation and water pollution were the results of industrial improvement. Today, it is grateful that the drastic evolution of computer programs also means that the world is more transparent and information is shared in an instant. Thus, people are more aware of the global climate, and this eventually leads to a change in the way people do business. Consequently, green energy technology and vehicles are being produced rapidly to contribute to the recreation of global health.
In conclusion, computer invention has shown its advantages in helping people achieve a balanced lifestyle, sustainability, and health treatment. In addition, the information could be shared widely and quickly to improve the global climate situation. Therefore, I can confirm that there are no other inventions that could improve both the earth and humanity, like the computer.
